Axalingua visits the San Miguel Brewery

On Friday March 5 the San Miguel Brewery in Malaga was visited, organized by Axalingua Language Center within its program of cultural activities 2009/10.

 The day began with a nice breakfast at the Hotel Belén, where the bus waited that took us to the factory. There we were received by Elvira Schib of the Dept. of Communication and External Relations, who welcomed us and gave us the audio guides. After that, we started visiting the heart of the factory that took us through the packaging and the fermentation area and an area where the raw materials used in the brewing proces are exposed.

During the visit, our students had the opportunity to practice their Spanish by asking Elvira about different curiosities of the factory and the brewery process. The visit was completed with a small catering and tasting of various beers that the Mahou-San Miguel group produces in Malaga. Finally, each student received one of the various gifts of the Spanish brand.

The next trip will be to the Museo Picasso Malaga, where an event will be held, especially designed for Spanish students, and which is related to the work of this international well known painter of Malaga.
